Celebration of Learning

Thanks so much for the wonderful turnout last night for our celebration.
Your children have done an amazing job of preparing an assortment of culinary delights and we hope that their study of nutrition has helped to enlighten their food choices for their future good health.
Oh-- by the way, our veggie, alphabet soup had an additional ingredient that is not in the recipe book and that is a jar of tomato sauce.  Happy eating!
I hope that you all have a great winter break with your children.  I will see you in March!

Valentine's Celbrations

Whoops-- it looks like I neglected to publish this one - so here it is now.
This week we did some more cooking and started to create a book about foods we love.  We also made some very interesting Valentine's gifts using our feet!

Please keep these dates in mind:
Friday -February 12th - I love East Montpelier Day.  There is still time to have lunch tomorrow at school if you wish to do so.  Call and make a reservation.  The food drive is still going on and food can be dropped off until tomorrow right outside our classroom.

This Monday preschoolers wear STRIPES.  Each class has a color and ours is any colors as long as there are stripes!

For those of you who are planning ahead.  There will not be prekindergarten on Thursday, April 14th.  That day is devoted to screening for incoming students.  Community Connections will still be operating.

Don't forget to come next  Wednesday between 5:30 and 7:00.  This celebration will be very tasty.  The children will be sharing their culinary skills with you.

I just wanted to give you some dates and events to mark on your calendar.  Next Thursday - February 11th, we will celebrate Valentine's Day and we ask that each student bring in a card for every member of the class. A class list will be coming home.

On Wednesday, February 17th the whole school will have a celebration of Learning in the early evening.  Our class will be displaying their culinary skills and will be ready to serve you some of our fabulous treats.
