Happy New Year

Students were happy to be back with their classmates and routines of the day.

We are focusing on writing our names and determine how many letters are in them.  We are also noticing which letters are made with straight lines, curves or a combination of the two.  Check out our snowmen in the hallway with our names on them.

In math we are practicing counting to 20 and noticing patterns.  

In science we are looking at snowflakes and finding identical pairs and creating our own.

Pre-Holiday Fun

We have been learning about different holiday customs around the world.  The children are making gifts to share with you and we have been practicing our songs and play.

Once again, the M/T group will have their performance in the music room at 1:00 on 12/20 followed by refreshments. The W/Th/F group will have theirs on 12/21 at 10:40  followed by our luncheon.  If you have not already done so, please send in your lunch preference to help the cooks plan ahead.

Snow

We have been having fun in the snow.  Please remember to send in water-proof mittens, hats, snowpants, boots and indoor shoes and extra socks.  Please check to see that extra clothes are suitable for winter.

REMINDER - OUR HOLIDAY SHOWS ARE FAST APPROACHING

THE M/T GROUP PERFORMS ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 20TH AT 1:00 IN THE MUSIC ROOM.  REFRESHMENTS WILL BE SERVED AFTER.

THE W/TH/F GROUP PERFORMS ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 21ST AT 10:40 IN THE MUSIC ROOM.  LUNCH WILL FOLLOW WHICH WILL BE MAC AND CHEESE AND HAM.

PLEASE EMAIL ME TO LET ME KNOW HOW MANY ARE ORDERING LUNCH FROM YOUR FAMILY.

Befana flew into our class today all the way from Italy.  She is a good witch who visits Children January 5th in Italy and leaves them fruit, candy and coal.  She also helps clean the house!  We were so lucky to have her.
